Welcome to Clergy Development for the Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene.We exist to serve you as you navigate your journey toward ordination in the Church of the Nazarene. To this end, Clergy Development has two boards to better serve you: Ministerial Credentials and Ministerial Education.
The Ministerial Credentials Board will give yearly instruction and counsel relative to your spiritual development, nurture your call, and give guidelines toward licensing and ordination.
The Ministerial Education Board provides instruction and guidance as to the possible educational tracks available in meeting requirements for licensing and ordination. While it is our recommendation that ministerial education toward ordination be obtained through Southern Nazarene University, Nazarene Bible College, Nazarene Theological Seminary, or another denominational university, the feasibility and reality for doing so are not always possible. Therefore, the Oklahoma District provides an excellent Ministerial Education Course program as well. Each year many of the Modular Courses of Study are offered in classroom and Skype format.
